MOSAIC semester kickoff event – Oct. 3
Join MOSAIC (Mentorship Opportunities in Science & Agriculture for Individuals of Color) for their kickoff event of the semester on Friday, October 3, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. (location TBD). Catered food from Estacion Inka will be provided.
Attendees be joined by mentors Thomas Browne, CALS assistant dean for student belonging, and Guolong Liang, extension outreach specialist, for a warm, down-to-earth conversation about their academic journey. They’ll share personal experiences and answer any questions about navigating life in higher education or seeking a path in agriculture. Participants can also learn about MOSAIC’s mentorship programs and how to get involved this fall.
This is a casual, community-oriented gathering. Attendees can meet peers and mentors, ask questions and enjoy a free dinner. All UW undergrads, graduate students and postdocs are welcome. If you plan to attend, RSVP and list any dietary/accessibility needs so they can prepare accordingly.
