New 360-degree virtual campus tour features several CALS locations

Campus and Visitor Relations recently launched a new way to showcase campus with a 360-degree virtual tour. The immersive experience features panoramic views across three themed tours: Academics, Campus Life, and Living on Campus.
Several CALS locations are featured during two of the tours. In the Academics tour, viewers get a look at the lecture hall in Agricultural Hall, various aspects of Babcock Hall and views of D.C. Smith Greenhouse as well as the Microbial Sciences Building, including the Microbial Sciences Lab. In the Campus Life tour, Allen Centennial Garden and Steenbock Memorial Library are highlighted.
While designed with prospective students in mind, the tool also provides a behind-the-scenes look at spaces that can’t always be featured during in-person tours. It brings campus to life for a variety of audiences and can be found under “Take a virtual tour” at visit.wisc.edu or directly at virtualtour.wisc.edu.
One additional note: the current self-guided tour app, UW Guide, has been discontinued. A new self-guided tour tool for on-campus visitors is coming this summer.
