Chancellor Mnookin visits Hancock Agricultural Research Station
On March 31, Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin visited Hancock Agricultural Research Station during a trip to central Wisconsin. Mnookin and Dean Glenda Gillaspy, who also attended, heard from CALS faculty members Jed Colquhoun and Yi Wang, both from the Department of Plant and Agroecosystem Sciences. Colquhoun, professor and extension specialist, discussed his work that supports keeping water clean and healthy. Wang, associate professor and extension specialist, talked about using AI and robotics for assessing field health. In an Instagram post, Mnookin said that what impressed her most “was the amazing and deep collaboration among our researchers, Wisconsin potato farmers and industry –– truly the Wisconsin Idea.”
