MOSAIC to host Know Your Rights event – Apr. 10
As part of a multi-organization initiative led by Advocates for Immigrants’ Rights, Mentorship Opportunities in Science & Agriculture for Individuals of Color (MOSAIC) is participating in Immigrant Justice Week with their Know Your Rights event. The event will take place on Thursday, April 10, from 5:00–6:30 p.m. in room 25H of Agricultural Hall, which is located in the Student Center on the lower level.
This event offers a chance for the campus community to come together for an evening of fun, food and creative expression. They’ll kick things off with a lighthearted icebreaker—Human Bingo—to help everyone connect. Afterward, they’ll dive into a hands-on arts and crafts activity where attendees can design their own Know Your Rights card, which will include important information on what to do if approached by immigration officers.

Participation in MOSAIC community events is open to everyone on the UW campus. As a BIPOC affinity group, MOSAIC’s purpose is to reduce the space between potential mentors of color and up-and-coming academics of color on this predominantly white campus.
