MOSAIC Indoor Nature Walk – Mar. 8
Passionate about nature, wildlife and love art museums? Join Mentorship Opportunities in Science & Agriculture for Individuals of Color (MOSAIC) on Saturday, March 8, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art for a guided indoor nature walk. David Drake, professor and extension wildlife specialist, will explain the native habitats of birds depicted on the woodblock prints.
This will be an informal gathering. Attendees will meet at 925 Bascom Hall (in front of Music Hall) at 1:30 p.m. and walk over to the museum. Refreshments will be provided after the event.
RSVP at this link before March 7 to assist in planning.
Participation in MOSAIC community events is open to everyone on the UW campus. As a BIPOC affinity group, MOSAIC’s purpose is to reduce the space between potential mentors of color and up-and-coming academics of color on this predominantly white campus.
