CALS student enrollment numbers for 2024-2025
A total of 928 new students joined CALS this fall, including 678 first-year undergraduates, 89 undergraduate transfer students and 161 new graduate students. The college saw an increase of more than 20% in new undergraduate students.
The Sixth Week Enrollment Report indicates the college has a total of 3,793 undergraduate students this fall including new and returning students, up 9.8% from last year. Of the current undergraduate total, 56% are Wisconsin residents. CALS has a total of 919 graduate students, down 1.5% from last year.
UW–Madison enrolled 8,516 first-year undergraduates this year, up 6.9% from last year. These students were selected from 65,933 applicants, up 3.8% from last year.
