CALS Community of Wellness and Microbial Science Building members thank blood drive volunteers and donors
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and donors who helped make the blood drive on Oct. 2 a resounding success. This event was held in memory of Amelia Heider, and your participation made a meaningful difference.
Whether you donated blood, staffed the registration table, moved furniture or prepared snacks for the canteen, we appreciate your time and effort. Together, we collected 28 units of blood—each of which has the potential to save multiple lives. We’re also excited to report that we set a new record for first-time donors!
As you may know, in January the Red Cross declared a nationwide blood supply shortage. If you were unable to attend this drive, we encourage you to consider donating at your earliest convenience. You can make an appointment to give blood or platelets through the Red Cross Blood App, by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
Thank you again for your generous support. Together, we’re making an impact.
