Grad students: Advance literacy in science through your thesis writing

Graduate students writing a thesis who are interested in communicating their work to the public can apply for the Wisconsin Initiative for Science Literacy Award for Communicating PhD Research to the Public. The initiative pairs students with a seasoned editor to write a chapter of their thesis specifically for a non-science audience. A cash award is offered upon completion to recognize students’ efforts to connect science with society.
