Latine Heritage Month (Sep. 15-Oct.15) is almost here, and the Latine Heritage Month Planning Committee is excited to kick off a month of events. This year’s theme, Illuminating Our Voices, showcases how Latine people share their passions and cultures through the arts. Ranging from dance to music, the visual arts to comedy, these forms of expression have bold and vibrant histories within Latine communities. Illuminating Our Voices amplifies the diversity within Latine cultures and allows individuals to share their stories in connection with the community.

The March Up Bascom Latine Heritage Month kickoff event is this Friday, Sep. 13, at 4:00 p.m. Other events include a movie night, a gallery night and an exploration of the evolution of Latin American music. Join events this month to uplift Latine voices with joy, power and pride.
