Reminder: FY26 WAES Hatch, Hatch Multistate, McIntire-Stennis and Planning Grant proposals due Sep. 6
The Wisconsin Agricultural Experiment Station (WAES) is pleased to announce the FY26 call for Hatch, Multistate, and McIntire-Stennis proposals. Similar to last year, they anticipate fewer proposals will be funded than in previous years due to an increase in hiring and related start-up packages and a significant rise in graduate student stipends. However, they remain dedicated to providing funding to seed new ideas and advance research projects. To support this goal, they are introducing a new category of proposal types (Hatch capacity funds) designed for planning larger collaborative projects. These grants will provide essential funding to enable the pursuit of these larger projects that have become increasingly common.
Funding Period: FY 2026 (October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026)
Two RFPs have been released:
- Capacity proposals (standard call)
- Large planning grant proposals (new for FY26)
Proposal Materials for both calls can be found here.
Submission Deadline: Friday, September 6, 2024, by 4:30 p.m.
Submit proposals to CALS WAES via RAMP. Requests for deadline extensions will not be granted. Only one submission per PI will be accepted.
