This email from LaVar J. Charleston was sent to employees and students on Jan. 25.
Greetings, Campus Community,
Please join us for the 16th Annual Outstanding Women of Color Awards Reception, an important annual Women’s History Month event to celebrate the accomplishments of some of the amazing women of color in the UW–Madison community.
The honorary award recognizes some of the many faculty, staff, alumni, students, and community members who go above and beyond in the pursuit of excellence and make important contributions to our community. Awardees are selected based on nominations by their colleagues and community peers.
This year’s honorees will be recognized at a reception sponsored by the Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement on Thursday, March 7, from 5–7:30 p.m. in Varsity Hall at Union South, 1308 W Dayton Street.
Unable to attend in person? Watch the live stream on March 7.
