Now that the Information Technology Committee (ITC) is back in session, an ITC faculty member is invited to join the Digital Accessibility Policy Advisory Committee. ITC had a key role in developing and approving the important IT policy.

The UW-Madison new digital accessibility policy was effective July 1, 2023. The Advisory Committee advises the project team on policy rollout and implementation. The committee meets monthly, and members of the Advisory Committee have the following responsibilities:

• Champion the project to the university
• Share their perspectives based on their role on campus
• Provide strategic direction, guidance, and advice to the project team
• Provide recommendations on issues escalated by the project team
• Help facilitate resources and remove barriers for the project team
• Help prioritize project deliverables
