Emeritus Professor M. Thomas Record, Jr. has been named the recipient of the Biophysical Society’s 2024 Ignacio Tinoco Award. The award honors the scientific contributions, work and life of the biophysical chemist. Record retired earlier this year after more than 50 years of teaching and research at UW. The Record Lab studied the biophysical chemistry of proteins, nucleic acids and their interactions.
