You’re invited to help welcome the newest CALS students to our campus!

Faculty and staff are invited to meet the new class of students on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 9 – 11 a.m. at the traditional CALS Fall Welcome and Orientation hosted in the Allen Centennial Garden.  

Students will be invited to arrive between 9 and 9:30 a.m. There will be brief remarks and a welcome around 9:30 a.m., and then everyone is welcome to visit college and university resource tables, enjoy coffee and donuts, and explore the garden while getting to know one another.

We hope you will take this opportunity to attend and extend a warm welcome to the newest members of the CALS community!

CALS Welcome Week Events September 5 – 9

The Fall Welcome kicks off a series of events to welcome new and returning students to campus.  While the Fall Welcome is for new and transfer students the day before classes, all students are invited to Agricultural Hall on Sept. 6, the first day of classes, for coffee and cookies (and to engage with student resources in Academic Affairs).

A CALS campus scavenger hunt to help students explore our campus takes place on Thursday, Sept. 7, and, returning after a multi-year hiatus, we are hosting a CALS Student Organization Fair on Friday, Sept. 8, 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on the plaza outside of Steenbock Library.  Please encourage all CALS students to participate in these events!
