As noted on their website, Outdoor UW “serves as an outlet to the outdoors for the UW-Madison campus community. Outdoor UW provides outdoor recreation rentals, educational opportunities, and recreation experiences. Our purpose is to fulfill the Wisconsin Union’s mission by welcoming, engaging, and connecting with the campus community around the outdoors. Our Mission is to provide exceptional experiences in the outdoors, for all.”

Rentals: Outdoor UW provides rentals as a cost-friendly alternative to purchasing gear of your own!

• Camping, hiking, and climbing: Gear such as tents, tarps, sleeping gear, cooking gear, shoes, trekking poles (and more) can be found on their website along with prices, policies, and rental forms
• Paddling equipment: Equipment such as individual stand-up or the 8-person stand-up paddleboards, single kayak, tandem kayak, or canoes are available. The website has important information regarding pricing as well as other general info and FAQs.

Private Group Experiences: Outdoor UW offers a wide variety of private group experiences on the water, from learning to paddle board to team-building activities. View their website for pricing and more information on each activity.
