Day of the Badger sees increases in support of CALS strong start initiatives
The fourth annual Day of the Badger was held March 28-29. This year 118 donors made gifts to CALS, an 18% increase from last year, and $32,720 was raised, a 13% increase from last year, putting CALS in 8th place on the leaderboard. The money raised will go towards our strong start initiatives which are programs that help students explore different areas of study, learn how to access student services, and develop a network of mentors, classmates, and friends.
The university as a whole saw the day as a success. Almost 6,400 gifts were made to UW–Madison from all 50 states and 17 countries, close to $1.7 million. You can find more details at dayofthebadger.org.
Thanks to the alumni, faculty, staff and friends of CALS who contributed to the effort and participated on social media!
