Do you know a current UW–Madison sophomore or senior in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences? If so — the annual Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association (WALSAA) scholarship applications are available, with the deadlines approaching. Please encourage students to apply!

Outstanding Sophomore Award details:

This award recognizes outstanding sophomores who have demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, and service to the University and their community. These students are awarded a financial gift to apply toward tuition in their junior year at UW–Madison.

WALSAA will offer ten (10) $2000 scholarships to CALS students who are in their second year of college**.

**This award is for students in their second year of college and is NOT determined by the number of credits. For example, a student in their first year, with sophomore standing based on credits is NOT eligible.**

Application Deadline – January 30, 2023
If selected for an interview – March 7, 2023

Senior Impact Award details:

This award recognizes graduating seniors who demonstrate excellence in leadership skills, student activity participation, engagement in CALS programs, and providing service to the University and the larger community.

WALSAA will offer five (5) $1000 scholarships to CALS students graduating during the 2023 calendar year**.

**This award is for students with graduation occurring during the 2023 calendar year. Those not graduating in 2023 will be eligible in a future year.

Application Deadline – January 31, 2023
If selected for an interview – March 9, 2023
