Get creative in the 2023 UW Darwin Day Art Contest
What do you get when you combine art and science? Something spectacular! That is why Wisconsin Evolution is hosting the UW–Madison Darwin Day 2023 Art Contest!
To participate, generate an original work in response to the following prompt: The natural world can be interpreted if there’s a daring soul willing to illuminate it. Darwin’s revolutionary idea explained the beautiful diversity of life on this planet. Show your appreciation for Darwin, evolution, ecology, and biodiversity through whatever artistic medium you prefer. We welcome digital, physical, and multimedia submissions.
First, second, and third place will receive $200, $150, or $100 in a gift card of their choosing, respectively. This contest is open to all UW–Madison students (undergraduate and graduate), staff, faculty, and non–UW affiliated Madison residents.
The submission portal will be open from Dec. 5, 2022 until midnight on Jan. 30, 2023. All submissions will be featured in an exhibition during the Darwin Day celebration on Feb. 10, 2023 with awards announced and community activities.
