Animal and dairy sciences department holds retreat, builds bikes for toy drive

The Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences held a full-day climate and diversity-focused retreat for faculty, staff and students on November 11 at Union South, including poster and networking sessions and two keynote speakers — animal and dairy sciences alumna Yalda Zare, and Louis Macias, CALS associate dean for diversity, equity and inclusion. The event culminated in a team-building activity: assembling 20 children’s bicycles for donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County’s Christmas toy drive.
