September 2022 update from University Bicycle Research Center
Welcome back to campus!
Our next bicycle class, “Rear Wheel Removal and Reinstallation” will be in-person on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the University Bicycle Resource Center. Ever had a rear flat tire but were intimidated by removing and re-installing the rear wheel? Fear no longer! Get the basic how-to’s and expert tips and tricks for removing your bike’s rear wheel. This is a hands-on class and it’s optimal if you have your bike with you to practice what you are learning in real time. Free class taught by India Viola, local bicycle advocate and educator. There is no registration required.
If you can’t make it or would rather stay virtual, a Youtube playlist of recordings of 2020’s virtual classes is available at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNtejTllqtG8fFgXwjW_AtP8PhJwNrTG7.
Shop hours and class schedule are posted online (https://transportation.wisc.edu/bicycling/university-bicycle-resource-center/) and on the shop door. If more physical distance than the shop can provide is your jam, check out our Air and Repair stations throughout campus (map at https://deh3q06fonbca.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/28/2022/04/Bike-Air-and-Repair-Station-and-Specialty-Parking-Map-03.22.pdf).
Have a great fall semester and be well.
