Reminder about mental and emotional support resources
In light of recent events, the CALS Office of Human Resources would like to remind members of the college community of the various resources available to help faculty and staff in need of mental and emotional support during this time. Resources include:
- The Employee Assistance Office (EAO) offers services including personal counseling, workplace consultation, and well-being coaching and training.
- The EAO partners with LifeMatters, which provides 24/7/365 phone coverage and statewide access to confidential counseling and consultation near your workplace. LifeMatters can be reached by phone a 1-800-634-6433 or on their LifeMatters website, sign in code is Bucky1. NOTE: LifeMatters is offering a “Coping with Tragedy” webinar on Jun. 1.
- SilverCloud is also an online interactive resource that provides UW–Madison faculty and staff with no-cost, confidential help for mental health issues and stress management 24 hours a day.
