Regents University Staff Excellence Awards nominations due Apr. 25

This is a reminder that UW–Madison is still accepting nominations for the Regents University Staff Excellence Awards until 25 April (at 1PM).

At the request of the UW Board of Regents, UW–Madison University Staff Shared Governance is inviting members of the UW–Madison community to submit nominations for the 2022 Regents University Staff Excellence Awards. The purpose of the Regents University Staff Excellence Awards is to recognize the dedicated work, vital services, initiative, and outstanding contributions of the UW System’s university staff.

Two awards of $7,500 each – one to a university staff member and one to a program primarily staffed by university staff – will be made. Award recipients will be selected by the Regents University Staff Excellence Awards Committee.

It is anticipated that award recipients will be publicly recognized at the September 30, 2022 meeting of the Board of Regents. In addition, all nominees will be recognized by the Board of Regents and in University of Wisconsin announcements and press releases.

Read these guidelines for information on the criteria for the awards and the documentation that should accompany the nominations.

UW–Madison nominations for this award should be sent to no later than 1pm, 25 April. An awards selection committee comprised of UW–Madison university staff will select two submitted nominations to be forwarded on to the UW System: one nomination for a university staff member and one nomination for a program staffed primarily by university staff.

This awards process should NOT be confused with the UW–Madison University Staff Recognition Awards. Those awards will be open Mar. 29 to Apr. 28 and 10 winners from campus will be selected.
