Beware false spring intrepid bicyclists!
Our next free class at the University Bicycle Resource Center will be “Rear Wheel Removal and Re-install Class” on Tuesday, February 22nd , 6-7:30 p.m. Ever had a rear flat tire but were intimidated by removing and re-installing the rear wheel? Fear no longer! Get the basic how-to’s and expert tips and tricks for removing your bike’s rear wheel. This is a hands-on free class and it’s optimal if you have your bike with you to practice what you are learning in real time. Free class taught by India Viola, local bicycle advocate and educator. This class will be in person at the shop.
If you can’t make it or would rather stay virtual, a Youtube playlist of recordings of last year’s virtual classes is available at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLNtejTllqtG8fFgXwjW_AtP8PhJwNrTG7.
We also remain open for drop in DIY repairs. In compliance with current UW policy, please wear a mask when you are in the shop. If more physical distance than the shop can provide is your jam, check out our Air and Repair stations throughout campus (map at https://transportation.wisc.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/28/2017/12/Bicycle-Air-Repair-Station-and-Specialty-Parking-Locations-Map.pdf ). Our current class schedule and shop hours are posted at https://transportation.wisc.edu/bicycling/university-bicycle-resource-center/ .
Hope your spring semester is going great!
