Darwin Day 2022 features public talks Feb. 9-10

Come join the J.F. Crow Institute for the Study of Evolution for Darwin Day 2022 to celebrate the birthday and legacy of one of the most influential scientists in human history, Charles Darwin.

On the evening of February 9th Take a dive into how modern museums can serve as hubs for cutting-edge evolutionary research with Isabel Distefano from the DNA Discovery Center in Chicago’s Field Museum. The next day, hear from Ted Stankowich from California State University Long Beach’s Mammal Lab to learn how modern predator-prey relationships have resulted in an array of impressive and elegant mechanisms for avoiding and fending off hungry hunters.

Additionally, the Crow Institute has partnered with the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation for a series of science outreach activities at local Madison afterschool programs for Afterschool Expeditions.
