Abstract: Ellen recently joined the Dairy Forage Research Center team under Dr. Wenli Li as a computational geneticist, so as an introduction to the rest of the team, she will give an overview of her graduate research from the University of California, Davis. She will first present her MS work on the effect of worm composting on the microbial communities and gaseous emissions from dairy wastewater, followed by her PhD work on identifying loci associated with lameness in Holstein cattle.
