The addendum allows employees to use their sick leave for additional COVID-19 related reasons, including:

• Caring for someone who is subject to a quarantine or isolation order or has been advised to self-quarantine
• Caring for their children whose schools/daycares are closed or participating in hybrid or when the child’s childcare provider is unavailable due to COVID-19

Employees must exhaust all accrued vacation and personal holiday leave before using sick leave for any of these additional COVID-19 related reasons, but do not need to exhaust banked leave balances.

Note: Employees must provide required documentation to calshr.ddrs@cals.wisc.edu when using sick leave under this addendum.
