More than 100 donors support CALS QuickStart students on Day of the Badger

The second Day of the Badger was held April 6-7. Over the course of 1848 minutes, more than 100 donors made gifts to CALS and more than $25,000 was raised, putting CALS in 11th place on the leaderboard! The money will go towards scholarships for incoming freshmen who participate in CALS QuickStart, a program designed to help incoming first-year students in any CALS major get a summer start on coursework, reduce their time to graduation and join a cohort of other students.

The university as a whole saw the day as a success. More than 5,700 gifts were made to UW–Madison from 49 states and 14 countries, raising more than $2.7 million. You can find more details and view a Thank You video at dayofthebadger.org.
