PNAS special issue on “Misinformation in the public sphere” co-edited by LSC’s Dietram Scheufele

Dietram Scheufele, Taylor-Bascom Chair in Science Communication and Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor in the UW–Madison Department of Life Sciences Communication, co-edited the recent PNAS special issue on “Misinformation in the public sphere.” The issue includes a set of colloquium papers from the fourth National Academy of Sciences colloquium on the Science of Science Communication.

Scheufele and fellow co-editors wrote the introductory article. The special issue also includes an article by LSC professor and chair Dominique Brossard and LSC graduate student Emily Howell, titled “(Mis)informed about what? What it means to be a science-literate citizen in a digital world,” as well as articles by LSC alumni Michael Cacciatore and Sara Yeo.
