#MyCALSWork: Making sandwiches in a pandemic

This week’s #MyCALSWork post was submitted by Kari Backes, manager of the Babcock Hall Dairy Store. She shared a time lapsed video of one of her staff members, Andy Waldron, who is a food service worker in the store, where he has worked for four years. Kari shared that Andy graduated from UW–Madison in May 2020 with a Computer Science degree and is looking for a position to start his career. He was hired to work part-time in the Dairy Store since he was a great student worker and had experience with the store’s tasks and routines. His favorite flavor is cookie dough.

Here is a time-lapse of Andy preparing sandwiches for curbside pickup.

Missing a bite of the Bucky Melt or a scoop of Union Utopia? You’re in luck! Sandwiches and scoops of ice cream are available for curbside pickup Monday — Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
