The following is a recent message from UW Transportation Services to UW-Madison bus pass holders:
UW Transportation Services is helping spread the news about the Madison Metro Transit and Transportation Commission public hearing session the evening of Wednesday, February 10. Metro has been evaluating some feedback on their current Covid-19-reduced service levels and is considering what tweaks may be necessary. They are looking for rider feedback on potential service changes to come in either early (May) or late (August) summer 2021.
You can view proposed service adjustments and learn more about the public hearing on the Metro Transit website: https://www.cityofmadison.com/metro/routes-schedules/public-hearing-scheduled
Proposed changes would be in effect after transit network redesign plan results are determined– the project is taking place this year (2021) and network changes will happen between 2022 and the launch of the bus rapid transit system in 2024. Learn more about the transit network plan on the Metro website: https://www.cityofmadison.com/metro/routes-schedules/bus-rapid-transit/transit-network-plan
If you have feedback on how your commute using Metro transit has been affected by Covid-19 – especially if you have encountered issues with capacity limits or by a suspended route – please submit a feedback form on the Metro website: https://www.cityofmadison.com/metro/contact/feedback
