Introducing new eCALS features for spring 2021

Because eCALS has become the primary means of communicating news across the college with so many in-person activities suspended, eCALS is rolling out two initiatives for the spring semester to provide additional opportunities to engage with one another.

Share a photo representing your pandemic work life

Every other week, we will feature your favorite things about your current workspace and/or exciting updates about your work. Do you want to share a photo of a pet that often joins your virtual meetings, the great view that your remote office provides, a glimpse into your field or lab work? If so, please send us a photo and a short explanation via pix@cals.wisc.edu or share via social media by tagging @uwmadisoncals and using the hashtag #MyCALSWork (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).

Demonstrate your CALS knowledge and win a prize

The second initiative is a quiz that we will post on the last Monday of each month, beginning Feb. 22. The quiz will ask you to answer questions and find articles on specific topics that can be found in eCALS articles that were posted earlier that month. A winner will be selected and sent a CALS prize.

We hope these activities will make us all feel a little more connected and provide some entertainment within the CALS community.

And don’t forget: CALS Coffees will remain virtual this semester. Register for one of these informal networking sessions with Dean VandenBosch on Tuesday, February 2 from 8:30 – 9:30 am or Friday, April 9 from 8:30 – 9:30 am.
