2020 Fire Prevention Week

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) commemorates the Great Chicago Fire and raises awareness to fire safety by holding Fire Prevention Week (FPW) each year during the week of October 9th. This year’s FPW will be held from October 4th-10th with the campaign slogan, “Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen!” With cooking being the #1 cause of home fires and home fire injuries, the 2020 FPW campaign focuses on fire safety in the kitchen. To promote FPW and raise awareness to fire safety, the NFPA provides free resources such as tip sheets and videos. The resources can be found at the NFPA Fire Prevention Week webpage. Help celebrate FPW by downloading the free resources and sharing with those in your workplace.
