CALS ranked eighth in agriculture and forestry in QS World University Rankings

The University of Wisconsin–Madison has been ranked eighth in the world — and fourth in North America — in the area of Agriculture and Forestry in the 2020 QS World University Rankings. Ranking above UW–Madison were Wageningen University (Netherlands); University of California, Davis; Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences; AgroParisTech; Cornell University; University of California, Berkeley; and ETH Zurich-Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.

Other notable UW–Madison rankings in 2020 for academic and research areas associated with the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences include: 4th in Communication and Media Studies, 5th in Sociology, 22nd in Environmental Sciences, 44th in Biological Sciences, 45th in Earth & Marine Sciences, and is 48th in Economics & Econometrics.
