The Agroecology program will be hosting a symposium on May 1, and all are welcome to attend. The symposium will take place at Grainger Hall from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. See the poster below and register here. Full program information including schedule and speaker topics will follow soon.
This year the symposium will focus on the theme of agroecological “scaling” or how to promote more just and sustainable food systems while balancing the technical solutions with social equity. With the current rural and dairy crises here in Wisconsin, the event aims to go beyond theory and to work towards practical solutions for the people of this land. The symposium strives to bring together diverse voices including students, faculty, farmers, food system practitioners, and the public at large.
