They are also offering some bicycle trainings this spring.
- SMART CYCLING (TRAFFIC SKILLS 101: LCI Prereq Course), Saturday, March 21, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., 132 WARF Office Building, $50. A fast-paced class that provides cyclists with the confidence to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. Basics of bike maintenance, rules of the road, on-bike skills, and crash avoidance techniques. The workshop will start in the classroom for discussions about safe riding techniques, then we head to the parking lot to practice some on-bike skills. We will finish the workshop with a ride on-road. Pre-req for LCI course. Reserve your spot in the class by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
- LEAGUE CYCLING INSTRUCTOR TRAINING (LCI), Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19. All day, 132 WARF Office Building, $350 before 3/21/2020 ($425 on/after 3/21/2020). League Cycling Instructors (LCIs) are ambassadors for better biking through education. After earning certification through a 3-day, League Coach-led seminar, LCIs teach Smart Cycling classes to children as well as adults. This course requires the Smart Cycling prerequisite class.
