Call for proposals: Dairy Innovation Hub seeking applications for postdoctoral fellowships
The college is accepting proposals for up to six postdoctoral fellowships funded by the first year of the state-sponsored Dairy Innovation Hub. Funding for an identified candidate working on a specific research topic is available to all CALS faculty and staff with PI status. Proposals are due in December with the expectation that funding will be available in the spring semester 2020.
This request for proposals is for postdoctoral fellowships for high-impact projects that will fit within one of the four priority areas of the Hub:
- Steward Land and Water Resources
- Enrich Human Health and Nutrition
- Ensure Animal health and Welfare
- Grow Farm Businesses and Communities
Proposals are due December 15, 2019 via WISPR submission and award decisions will be made by January 31, 2020.

Future calls for capital equipment and short-term, high-impact project funds will be released later this semester.
The Dairy Innovation Hub is a $7.8 million per year investment by the State of Wisconsin in UW System agricultural programs to build a world-class talent pool and enable bold discoveries to ensure that Wisconsin’s dairy industry will be at the forefront in producing nutritious dairy products in an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable manner.
