Mainstream economic wisdom has been challenged by a wave of disruptive trade policies. Thomas Rutherford, professor of agricultural and applied economics at UW–Madison and the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, and Praveen Dixit, deputy assistant secretary for trade policy and analysis in the U.S. Department of Commerce, will explore the models used to study trade agreements.
