CALS Computer Lab offers array of resources

Did you know? The college has a computer lab with an array of resources available for use by faculty, staff and students.

The CALS Computer Lab is located on the basement and ground floors of the Animal Science Building, in rooms 145, 149, 150 and 204. Most weeks, it is open 8:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. Check the lab’s website for special hours. All resources are free, except for laser printing.

The facility has two computer classrooms available for one-time demonstrations or semester-long instruction:

  • Room 150 features 21.5″ iMacs (with both mac and windows OS). This room seats 21.
  • Room 204 features Dell all-in-ones. This room seats 35.

There are 12 dual-boot macs that are available for walk-in use, with access to software programs including MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, SAS, Final Cut Pro and Matlab. There are also various printers, documents scanners and a slide scanner. Printing costs $0.07/page for black and white and $0.50/page for color.

  • 14” Dell Latitude 7490s (17)
  • Portable lcd projectors (4)
  • Camcorders (4)
  • Voice recorders (2)
  • Canon still camera (1)

CALS Statistical Consulting is also located next door in rom 146. Assistance is available by appointment only. A sign-up form is located on the CALS Computer Lab website.
