Reminder of online system for alcohol permits

As many of you know, UW–Madison has an online system for alcohol beverage service permits. Event organizers must complete responsible employee training and then apply for an alcohol service permit through the online system. Below are some reminders about the system.

There is a 24-hour waiting period between when you take the online training and when you can apply for a permit. Plan accordingly.

When applying for an online permit for your CALS event, indicate Doug Sabatke as the authorized university official for approval.

Submit your permit for approval at least one week in advance of your event. The Dean’s Office requires adequate time to review and approve your permit. Timely submission is extremely important, as permits submitted late or right before an event may not be approved.
