The UW–Madison’s Export Control Office will be giving a presentation for CALS on the export control regulations and their impact on university research, including foreign collaborators and employees, shipping, travel and export licensing. The presentation will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30 in Room 6201 Microbial Sciences Building, 1550 Linden Drive. It is anticipated that the session will last about an hour.
The training is voluntary; however, we recommend that PIs and research staff attend who work with foreign sponsors/collaborators and employees; ship items, materials or information internationally; work with select agents; travel internationally; conduct research for the Dept. of Defense; or conduct work under non-disclosure agreements for technology reasons.
No registration is required.
If you have any questions with regard to this presentation, please feel free to contact Bethany Nelson (261-1128) or Tom Demke (262-8659) in the Export Control Office (firstname.lastname@example.org).
