Allen Centennial Garden upcoming events

The Allen Centennial Garden will be hosting a series of events in spring 2018.

Here are just a few highlighted events; check out allencentennialgarden.org for the full list.

Slow Food UW Café
May 2, 11-1pm
Enjoy fresh and locally sourced food at Allen Centennial Garden, prepped by Slow Food UW, a student organization that helps promote “good, clean and fair food for all.” They depend on both the campus and Madison communities to create dialogues and bridge cultural differences by using food as a universal experience. They work hard to make local, community-conscious foods accessible and delicious!

Family Gardening Day
Saturday, May 5 10am-1pm; FREE
UW Family Gardening Day gives everyone a chance to see and explore some of the splendid facilities for teaching, research and outreach in the plant sciences as well as to tour the beautiful gardens on campus. Learn more about gardening at the Allen Centennial Garden and take home some plants of your own!

It’s truly a delight to see honeybees whizzing around a garden, busily pollinating everything from vegetable crops to fruit trees.
