Warm Drinks – Cold Sculptures

Join us for a reception to celebrate the fall-winter installation of sculptures by Andrée Valley, whose exuberant colors especially “pop” against the winter landscape. We’ll warm ourselves up with hot beverages by the fire and bid adieu to our inaugural art installation.

Masterclass: Winter Fruit Pruning

When it comes to pruning fruiting plants, form follows function. Learn hands-on alongside experts from the UW-Madison Horticulture Department, the best pruning techniques to promote a bountiful harvest while supporting the long-term health of fruit-bearing selections. This class will explore a variety of fruits accessible to the home gardener including apples, blueberries, and grapes.

Comprising limited edition, one-of-a-kind, and offset books, the collection at the Kohler Art Library is representative of major book artists working today, including many who trained in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Art Department. In this program participants will get exclusive access to the Kohler Art Library and it’s collection, led by Library Director Lyn Korenic. Following viewing highlights of the collection, participants are invited to enjoy high tea at the University Club.

Contemporary Botanical Art: Pop-up Gallery Show

The exhibit will feature the ravishing botanical art of Mary Bauschelt, founding member of the American Society of Botanical Artisits. Conversation will surround the importance of hand-created botanical art and illustration, compared to digital generation, and the differences between traditional and modern botanical illustration.
