VCRGE call for internal letters of intent for SIG and HEI instrumentation grant programs

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education (VCRGE) encourages letters of intent for two National Institutes of Health (NIH) instrumentation grant programs as deadlines approach:

  • Shared Instrument Grant (SIG) Program: The Shared Instrument Grant (SIG) Program encourages applications from groups of NIH-supported investigators to purchase or upgrade a single item of expensive, specialized, commercially available instruments or integrated systems that cost at least $50,000. The maximum award is $600,000. The VCRGE internal deadline is April 2.
  • High-End Instrumentation (HEI) Grant Program: The High-End Instrumentation (HEI) Grant Program encourages applications from groups of NIH-supported investigators to purchase or upgrade a single item of expensive, specialized, commercially available instruments or integrated systems that cost at least $600,001. The maximum award is $2,000,000. The VCRGE internal deadline is April 2.
