New System policies relating to segregated fees and mileage reimbursement rates

This is a quick update on 3 recently approved policy revisions.

  1. UW System Administrative Policy 820, Segregated Fees
The revised version of the policy has now been posted to reflect the recommendations of the segregated fee working group that was formed as a result of Wis. Stat. 36.11 (57) being approved by the legislature, calling for consistency in the classification of allocable and non-allocable segregated fees. The UW System submitted the revised policy to the Joint Committee on Finance (JFC) for a 14-day passive review process. The policy revisions were approved by JFC last month.
  1. UW System Administrative Policy 240, Relocation (Household Moves) and Temporary or Indefinite Work Assignments
Technical revisions have been approved to reflect changes in the Federal mileage rates that became effective 1/1/18. The new taxable mileage reimbursement rate for moves as of 1/1/18 has been added and a revised moving expenses spreadsheet uploaded to assist campuses.
  1. UW System Administrative Policy 425, Use of Personal Vehicles, Rental Cars and Fleet for Business Transportation
Technical revisions have been approved to reflect changes in the Federal mileage rates that became effective 1/1/18. The new standard mileage reimbursement rates of $0.545 for autos and $0.515 for motorcycles became effective has been added.
