Celebrate Native American history, culture during Native November
November marks National American Indian Heritage Month, and UW-Madison has events planned to celebrate the contributions Native Americans have made to UW-Madison and the state of Wisconsin.
Native November kicked off Nov. 1 and continues throughout the month. Beading workshops and an evening with poet Tanaya Winder are just some of the events scheduled; for a full schedule, visit www.wisc.edu/native-november/. The monthlong celebration is put on by Wunk Sheek and other Native student organizations as well as the Multicultural Student Center.
