Sporting clay competition raises money for Animal Science students

For the first time, the Targeting Excellence fundraiser to benefit Animal Science students was held in Wisconsin on Thursday, Sept. 28. The Wisconsin Sporting Clay Scholarship Classic event is a nationwide fundraiser that generates scholarship funds for university Animal Science majors with an interest in the feed industry. The event raised over $19,000 of funds to be used for scholarships for students on the Madison, Platteville and River Falls campuses. Ten undergraduate UW-Madison Animal Science and Dairy Science students helped with the event.
