The following message was sent from Steven Cramer, Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning, to UW-Madison employees on Friday, Sept. 15.
Welcome to the 2017-18 academic year!
We invite you to join us for the UW–Madison Teaching Academy 2017 Fall Kickoff. Open to everyone on campus interested in improving teaching and learning, the event’s theme is taken from the Wisconsin Experience, UW-Madison’s vision for the total student experience, that is tied to the Wisconsin Idea: Relentless Curiosity.
A continental breakfast will be served, followed by an engaging, interactive morning focused on creative approaches to fostering that relentless curiosity in learners. The event begins with an opening keynote and activity, followed by a panel of inspiring teachers from across campus.
The event is free and open to the whole UW-Madison community.
- When: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 6, 2017
- Where: Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID) in the DeLuca Forum
