Francisco Arriaga, an assistant professor in the Department of Soil Science and a UW-Extension soil specialist, was a recipient of the 2017 Soil and Water Conservation Society’s Fellow Award.
Arriaga was honored at an awards luncheon held on Tuesday, Aug.1 during the 72nd International SWCS Conference, which took place at the Monona Terrace July 30 – Aug. 2. The designation of Fellow is conferred on SWCS members who have performed exceptional service in advocating the conservation of soil, water and related natural resources. This award is given for professional excellence, first and foremost.
