Laura Paris joins CALS’ international education and study abroad team

The CALS International Education and Study Abroad Office has hired Laura Paris as a Study Abroad Advisor. In this position, Laura will be managing a portfolio of CALS study abroad faculty-led field studies and exchange programs, advising students about their study abroad options through CALS, overseeing marketing and social media for CALS study abroad, working with UW faculty and in-country partners on program details and overseeing the scholarship program for study abroad.

Laura earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond in 2007 and her Master’s degree from UW-Madison in 2011. Her interest in international education began with a semester in France as an undergraduate and continued with several professional experiences in Europe post-graduation. Prior to joining CALS, Laura was an Education Abroad Advisor at the University of Georgia where she advised STEM and Global Health students on study abroad program selection, credit transfer, scholarships and financial aid, among other responsibilities. Laura’s office is located in International Education and Study Abroad within the Office of Academic Affairs in 116 Ag Hall.
