Soil science assistant professor Francisco Arriaga was recently appointed the William Rothermel Bascom Professor in Soil Science. The five-year professorship provides funding for research and scholarly activity.
Arriaga’s research supports the development of management systems that promote crop productivity as well as soil and water conservation.
